8am: The final day of the Scottish National starts at 8am, with 50 more singles competitors and two brace handlers hoping for a place in the team.
9.00: The final scores are available from yesterday, as well as two amendments - notably Keith Preston and Queen (run 67) whose score has been corrected from 116 to 166, which means that he is currently in tenth position. Apologies, Keith, for the error!
9.20: The first scores of the day have been posted. With a standard in place, it is likely that there will be increasing numbers of retirals today
.
10.15: Julie Hill and Kim have had the first completed run of the day.
11.15: Still only one scoring run on the board for today.
11.45: Stuart Davidson and Calderdale George have had a good run, and gpo into the lead for today on 159.
12.15: Robbie Welsh has moved into third position on 188 with Maid. Brace competition starting soon.
1.15: Ewen Mackinnon is the 2011 National Scottish Brace Champion with Roy & Nan. Of today's competitors, Hamish Maclean scored 176, giving him the second place on the Scottish Brace team by just two points. Full scores at the foot of the page.
1.45: Michael Shearer and Cap have moved into fourth position on 187.
3.20: Neil Gillon and Bhoy are now in sixth place on 176. Twenty runs to go. The weather has deteriorated, and it is very wet.
4.00: Just a dozen competitors left to run in this year's National. The outline of the team is beginning to form. Norman Macdonald and Jake have joined the leaders on 171.

4.45: The rain and mist have come in, the top of the field is not visible, so the last twelve runs will take place in the morning, starting (all being well!) at 9am.

9.30 Sunday: The final part of "Day 3" is underway - it is still raining, but visibility is adequate for trialling.
10.50: A score of 188 from Mosse Magnusson and Jim has shown that team places are still there for the taking. The first run of the day, from Roddy MacDiarmid, also came close to a team place.

11.10: It's all over. Congratulations to Bobby Dalziel and Joe, Scottish National Champions for 2011, and to everyone else in the team, as well as all those who competed hard but didn't make it into the team, and/or battled hard against the elements. A particular mention for Robbie Welsh, the youngest handler at the National, who finished third, and for Carl Magnus "Mosse" Magnusson, running for Scotland for the first time, who finised justbehind Robbie, their scores only separated by four drive points, in fourth. Sceond placed Ian Brownlie's Mo is the highest placed Scottish bred dog. Best sportsman was Kevin Howlett and the driving dog is Neil Gillon's Buoy.
For previous scores see Day 1 report (runs 1 to 50) and Day 2 report (runs 51-100).

Because the National trial could not be completed until the Sunday, several members of the team had to leave before the team photo could be taken. It is hoped that a photo of all the team can be taken for posterity, perhaps on the first day of the International.
The top fifteen singles handlers and top two brace handlers, plus a young handler form the team for the International in September. The sixteenth placed singles handler is the team reserve.
